What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It can be played both indoors and outdoors on a court that’s similar to those used for doubles badminton or tennis. The goal of the game is to hit the ball over the net with a paddle in such away it lands inside your opponent’s court without them being able to return it. With its fast-paced action, pickleball has become increasingly popular with players of all ages and skill levels around the world.
Where Can You Play Pickleball?
Pickleball can either be played at an indoor or outdoor facility depending on availability in your area. When playing indoors, courts may vary in size but are typically smaller than those used for singles badminton or tennis. Outdoor courts are usually larger and more spacious allowing for more room during play. As pickleball continues to gain popularity, many communities have begun constructing dedicated pickleball facilities where people can come together to enjoy this rapidly growing sport!
Can You Go In The Kitchen In Pickleball?
Yes! A unique feature of pickleball is what’s known as “the kitchen” – an area near the net which players cannot enter when returning shots from their opponents unless they want to risk losing points. This helps keep gameplay balanced between two opponents by providing each player with limited space within which they must return shots without risking stepping into their opponent’s territory (or kitchen!).
