Dodgeball is an exciting and exhilarating game that combines elements of speed, agility, and strategy. It is a popular sport played by both children and adults in schools, community centers, and even professional leagues. In dodgeball, two teams face off against each other with the goal of eliminating players from the opposing team by hitting them with balls.

The Objective: Eliminate or Avoid Being Hit

The main objective of dodgeball is to eliminate players from the opposing team while avoiding being hit yourself. Each team starts on their respective sides of the court or playing area. The game begins when a whistle is blown or a signal is given for both teams to rush towards the center line where several balls are placed.

Different Variations of Dodgeball

Traditional Dodgeball

Traditional dodgeball typically involves two teams facing each other on opposite sides of a court divided by a centerline. The players must try to hit their opponents with thrown balls while simultaneously dodging any incoming throws aimed at them. Once hit by an opponent’s ball, a player is considered “out” until they catch an opponent’s throw or another teammate catches it before it touches the ground.

Modified Versions: Doctor Dodgeball & Pin Guard Dodgeball

In addition to traditional dodgeball, there are modified versions such as Doctor Dodgeball and Pin Guard Dodgeball that add unique twists to gameplay. In Doctor Dodgeball, one player acts as the “doctor” who can revive tagged out teammates simply by touching them. Pin Guard Dodgeb
